Our Vision
We would like to see the organisation continue to deliver a small amount of quality events throughout the year and to continue being recognised as one of the leaders in community organisations.
History of Newton Carnival
Formed in January 1999 by a group of volunteers who had previously been attached to Newton Primary school PTFA. The school had asked me and the PTFA to form a committee to try and resurrect the village gala last seen in Newton in the late 1950s. The team set to work and in the space of a few months organised a small parade and activities in the school grounds. The weather was horrendous, but the village turned out in support. Following the event, the school said the event was too big for them and asked for it to become a village event.

Over the past 26 years we have seen many volunteers give their time to help and organise event. We will always be extremely grateful for their help and support; without them we would not be here today.
